Rider update: Dad, Jon, bought a Honda ATC 70 Trike at the age of three. When Sam outgrew the ATC70 he progressed to a Suzuki LT 50 this fed the passion for quad racing.  Sam started racing as soon as he was old enough in the 100cc class with an early ProShark,  Sam proved to be a natural and started getting good, consistent results.

Sam rode a Panther 100cc to third place in his first race, this made Sam eager to race in championships, so it was up to dad, Jon to teach Sam race craft and coach Sam how to improve his racing results.  He moved onto an early ProShark and then an Eton Viper. He won both the GravityLC and ORE 150cc Championships in the same year. 

Sam has now had two seasons in the 250 class riding a Yamaha.  In his first season he won the 250 B class, finishing every race in the top five.  In the second season he won the ORE 250 standard class at his first attempt.  Sam also raced in GravityLC Club meetings when dates permitted. 

Looking ahead, Sam is focussing on winning the 2010 ORE 250cc modified class. 

Both Sam and Jack Norris are trained and coached by dad Jon who is patient and supportive of his sons’ racing and very proud of their achievements.
