Stef Murphy has decided to take the rest of the season off to allow his right arm to mend properly.
Stef's season had been going pretty much to plan, holding sixth place overall in the British QX Championship after two rounds, and leading both the British Under 21 Championship and the NORA-MX Pro Class series when be collected the injury.
“I could be back at the end of August, but in reality I won't be up to top race speed for another month or so after that, so I decided to let the break heal properly and aim to come back for the Weston Beachrace and then prepare for the 2011 series,” explained Stef. “I'd just like to thank all my sponsors and supporters and promise that I'll be back and chasing the old boys down for the title in 2011.”
