K Quads in the idyllic Welsh village of Llangain on the Carmarthen/ Pembrokeshire border is the ideal place for Quad riders of all ages and capabilities.
Although the company has been in operation for more than six years, owner and founder Kevin Evans has opened his 130-acre Beef Farm up to riders of their own machines this year, rather than offering a full-on hire facility.
This means that racing Quads can mix it on the purpose-built MX circuit with Enduro and trail riders on two types of terrain: a small motocross track for the race-heads and a varied-terrain trail route.
Said Kevin: “We used to offer hire facilities, but this year customers can bring their own machines. We’re open seven days a week and there is something here for everyone. We’re open seven days a week, but we always advise ringing before turning up as we can only really cater for 30 riders per day.”
One of the great things about K Quads is its location and family-friendly facilities: It offers a permanent toilet and shower block and camping facilities for just £10 per night per pitch; it’s a stones-throw from Dylan Thomas country; and only half-an-hour away from the Oakwood Theme Park and Bluetree Centre Parks complex.
As well as Quads, K Quads also cater for two-wheelers including motocross, Enduro and trail riders at the very reasonable price of £15 per day per rider.

STAMFORD QUADTRACK
For three years, Stamford Quadtrack in Holywell, Flintshire has been catering for Quad riders of all ages and has built up a good reputation as a safe environment for riders of all capabilities.
Run by former trials rider and all-round motorcycle and Quad enthusiast Geoff Pierce, Stamford Quadtrack comprises of a mile-and-a-half circuit set around the edges of several fields and through the wood on the working cattle farm. Says Geoff, who is ably assisted on site by son Jack (11): “We’ve got a regular band of followers now, several who come down from the north west and we’ve gained a good reputation as a family friendly, safe and responsible place to ride; suitable for all ages and capabilities of Quad riders. Although there has been racing on site in the past, it is now mainly used at weekend’s for recreation, catering for riders as young as seven, through to road-legal and off-road Quads. Richard Cole has run a training session at Stamford which was of great benefit to the youths who took part and there could be further sessions if enough interest is shown. The cost to ride is £15 (over 100cc) and £10 (up to 100cc) per session. Although the circuit is open almost every weekend, it is dependent on weather, so it is essential to ring beforehand.
